This post is dedicated to the memory of a great friend and companion, "Pal". We adopted Pal from the local shelter when he was 8 yrs. old, his former owner had passed on and he was taken to the shelter. We were their to pick up another pup that we had adopted when I spotted Pal. He had this face you just couldn't help but to fall in love with. So we adopted him as well as the pup. Pal immediately became part of the family, he loved to play ball and go for rides in the truck. Pal was with us for 6 yrs. before age took it toll on him. We laid him to rest on Tuesday. They say all good dogs go to heaven, so I like to think he's there back by he's former owner side and knows that he will be missed very much. We love you Pal......
Awesome post Rich. Not a lot of people adopt older pets...Bless you and your family for giving him an awesome six years. I know you will miss him! Take care
I'm a career firefighter. But my real passion is the outdoors. I just recently got bit by the photography bug, and this is my first attempt at a blog. I'm not much of a writer, so please don't expect much more than pics with description. As this is a learning process for me, please feel free to critique my photo's and tell me whats good or bad about them. Rich.

Good friends and close family members are always missed.
So very sad to lose such a wonderful friend and member of the family. My absolute commiserations. H was such a beautiful, gentle friend.
Sorry to hear about your beloved pet Pal... I lost my dog a year or so back and it's a hard thing to get used to.
