And this one of a Revolutionary War Veteren was dated 1819.
I had to brush away a good bit of leaves and dirt to see this plaque.

Old Cemetery....
Today's post is going to be a little different. While out looking for more subjects to photograph, I found this old cemetery. And I just had to take a closer look. Most of the stone where unreadable. But a few caught my eye.

Wonderful finds. I love old cemetaries. I have some pictures of one waiting for a post... someday (it's on my list). But nothing I have is that old. Thanks for sharing this!
Cool shots. If you use photoshot try desaturating the image then up the contrast. Usually give a very dramatic B/W.

Fantastic Find!!! Old gravestones are so great - I always feel bad for the ones you can't read anymore.
I once stumbled upon a gravestone that read:
"Weep not my friends
Who are so dear,
I am not dead,
but sleeping here."
